Whats happening at The Edge
Street Edge
Street Edge is a mobile vehicle that patrols the area’s from Eagleby to Browns Plains and Springwood, every Saturday between 7pm into the early hours of the
morning.
Street Edge aims at connecting with people on the streets that need assistance in any way from a cup of coffee to responding to clients in distress.
____________________School Edge
School Edge is where we serve young people at school’s hot and cold breakfest.
School Edge feeds hundreds of local school
children each week. From our experience, we know that some children do not get a meal the night before and go to school hungry and with no lunch.
This contributes to their lack of concentration and misbehavior.
Girls & Boys Night
Girls/ Boys Night is a mentor program on Monday and
Tuesday evenings for young teenage girls/boys.
Along with fun and games, we have lessons about family and social issues, life skills, we also encourage them and assist them to set goals for their future.
We provide a trusting, healthy enviroment where the girls/ boys can ask questions and
talk about there problems. We have approximately 100 young people that we mentor.
Free Counselling
Free Counselling Service is a caring and confidential service that is assesable anyone who may be experiencing personal problems,addictions, relationship issues, or childhood issues.
Our counselors are tertiary trained and are passionate about not only helping people to feel better, but to create lasting change for a positive future.
____________________Monday Cafe & Free Hairdressing
Monday Cafe is a community meeting place where
people can come and chat
over a cuppa.
We also offer free haircutting thanks to our volunteer
hairdresser Christine.
